Artichoke Basille’s Pizza and Bar is a favorite Chelsea destination for those who love the best pizza and other Italian dishes. Artichoke is known as comfy, tiny spot, but on New Year’s Eve they will be hosting a party as massive as their pizza pies. Look forward to a 4-hour open bar and complimentary pizza slices in the early evening. You’ll receive party favors while listening to a mixture of house, Top 40, and hip hop. At midnight per tradition enjoy a glass of complimentary champagne to join in the countdown and ring in the New Year with a toast or a kiss.
Pizza-makers and cousins Frank Garcia and Sal Basille—who host the Cooking Channel show Pizza Cuz—opened this slice of life venue in New York in 2008. In 2010, they joined up with famous nightlife mavens Noah Tepperberg & Jason Strauss (Tao, LAVO, Avenue) in opening what we now know as Artichoke Basille’s Pizza and Bar. As of 2015, the humble pizza parlor has grown into six location in New York and one in California.
The spot has been featured on Frank and Sal’s own show, as well as on the Rachael Ray Show, and The Tonight Show. Touted by both The New York Times and The New York Post, it’s easy to see why everyone comes to get their fill of cheesy delights, not to mention famous people like rocker Keith Richards and chef-entrepreneur David Chang.
The venue will remind you of your favorite neighborhood bar—unassuming and warm—with oversized lights shining down on simple wooden or marble tables, along with all the fixings for good eats.
Join the fun this year at Artichoke Basille’s, and ring in the New Year in a warm, family and good friends atmosphere.
